The Two of Us at the End of the World

What if one person was your whole world? A young couple fall in love in a time when scientists are discovering that humanity has stopped being able to have children. When the two realise they are an exception to this rule, so do the authorities. Almost two hundred years later, in the overgrown ruins of a world almost empty of people, the only person Mouse has ever known is Cat, the brave girl who carried him inland, away from the coughing sickness that came from the sea and killed their families. Courageous and clever, the duo know how to survive. And then strangers arrive with a threat to be met, and a choice to be made. Nothing will ever be the same. And innocence may die first, but hope? Hope dies last. The Two of Us at the End of the World by C. A. Fletcher is a deeply engaging story
